The Upcoming Movie

(As I wait for the iMac to load my files, I wanna quickly jot down some updates on the upcoming movie. Yes, I'm Mac-based now. Downside is that this is the low-end model, sigh.)

For the past 5 days, I've been slaving over the video. Yes, the little teaser (which contains nothing but the title and the release date) that I've posted up on a couple of websites have sparked a lot of interest. That's good to know, that kept me going strong for 5 long days.

Now I'm taking an hiatus from editing this video (theTBmovie). Chill lah, I got a day job you know. And I seriously need a break from it. If it adds to the suspense, all the better =) heh.

But it's more or less done. Just some minor changes and corrections. The video (when released) will also be on sale. 20 DVDs will be available on first come first serve basis. I'm thinking along the lines of RM10 per DVD with covers. I almost literally don't earn a cent from this, this is just to cover the cost like petrol and DVDr used. I'm no philanthropist man. I can't afford to give out free DVDs man.

On Monday, we've test screened the video with a limited audience. And I pass the critics! LOL. Which is good. Takes a whole lot of burden off mah shoulders, you know.

With a couple more corrections and re-editing to go. I can't wait for it to be done!

Do check back for further updates. And oh, trailer coming up too ;)

Cheerio.

Back to Basics

Woman has Man in it;
Mrs. has Mr . in it;
Female has Male in it;
She has He in it;
Madam has Adam in it;

No wonder men always want to be inside women!

Why you ask? Simple...

Men were born between the legs of a woman, yet men spend all their
Life and time trying to go back between the legs of a woman.

Why is that?
Because home sweet home.

Monkey See Monkey Do

Half-dozen of frogs.
A plastic stool.
A couple of cats.
Copious amount of insects.

and my personal favourite, a Bat.

Of course, the above mentioned animals and household item aren't my pets. I mean come on, who would have a pet plastic stool? Crazy ah? Maybe if you're clinically stressed you just might have one. But that's not the point...

The point is...
Those creatures (and household item) has been unfortunate enough to have meet the front side of my car. The bumper or number plat to be exact. Through the course of a couple (maybe more) years I've road kill (and road smash) all the above mentioned. Yes, thats not a typo, I did killed a bat before. Really.

Now, to add to the illustrious list of Meng's Roadkill, as of this morning, another somewhat exotic animal has been inducted into the List. This morning, as I hesitated to leave my house, mainly 'cos I keep forgetting to bring some stuff required for a photoshoot, barely 200m down the mountain road where I live, out-of-nowhere, this enormous-dog-sized black monkey with white spots on his eyes came rushing out of the bushes and immediately sprinted to the road, "Sounds like a pathetic and cheesy Panda wannabe," Ian describes it.

Lo and behold, the front of my car shows up in full 50km/h downhill.

I saw.
I freaked.
I brake.

And I hit.

I've ran over a cat before, and this doesn't feel anything like it. It's disgusting, horrible and well, that thing was HUGE man. Of course, being human, I manage to get a quick glance at the damage. It didn't die...yet, i think. But it was crawling, squirming and seemingly in a bad condition.

It was horrible.

Right after the ewwws and arghhhs subsided, JM asked if I have checked my car for any damage or any hanging limbs or bit and pieces. I refused, mainly because I'm still shooked up, "I need a stronger cup of coffee man," but alas, I needed to refuel. Eventually (barely 5 minutes later), I went down and checked out.

There was nothing. No scratch, no dents, no cracks. However, there was a speck of blood on my number plat. Oddly enough, the blood stain was on the no. 9. Which in chinese, its pronounced, "KAU" which means monkey.

I'm so gonna go buy 4D man! I'll donate some to the Monkey Association or something. I'll keep the rest. "See you in the Bahamas, yeah?" I told Ian the Jelly-Man.

Here's my million dollar moment! Woooo...

R.I.P. Monkey. (Yes, SPCA was notified.)

Unbreakable Bread

As of this morning, I came to conclusion that toasting your bread in an oven isn’t the brightest of ideas. Unless you fancy bread as unbreakable as concrete or you strangely/mysteriously hate your teeth.

-takes a third bite-

OK this is ridiculous. I’m throwing that into the trash.

Thank you. You may go now.

Taxing Pirates

I think high-end computer hardware manufacturers should have to pay an extra tax, which gets sent to the game developers. We all know that people who pirate video games spend their savings buying fancy computers.

Dear John

A squaddie stationed in Iraq recently received this "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend back home:

Dear Jack,

I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice, since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

Love, Becky

The squaddie, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, cousins etc. In addition to the picture of Becky, Jack included all the other pictures of the pretty girls he had collected from his mates.
There were 57 photos in that envelope, along with this note:

Dear Becky,

I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.

Take Care, Jack

Let's Hope It's Just A False Alarm

Some MSN conversation with the Jelly-man. Since he’s such a lousy Googler, “Dude, I’m heading back to the office now, see yah in a bit,” I was at Queensbay shooting some pictures for a launch coming up. We were talking about TB (the disease) and how a friend of ours may have the disease.

I got back and started Googling for more info about this disease. Took me 10 seconds to find it so I copied and paste it on Jelly-man’s (JM) chatbox…

“Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs. But, TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. If not treated properly, TB disease can be fatal. TB disease was once the leading cause of death in the United States.

TB is spread through the air from one person to another. The bacteria are put into the air when a person with active TB disease of the lungs or throat coughs or sneezes. People nearby may breathe in these bacteria and become infected.”

That scared the usually bouncy (sometime if not the always volatile salesman) JM, “Come to think of it, this morning I was coughing and felt like puking!” and that he feels pain on his chest.

I told him to go check it out, and that Sim once told me to never put a price on your health, “Don’t die on me JM!! I get the Man Utd 1999 Treble Jersey signed by all the players if you do, right?”

“Fuck off.”

Damn, so close.

“I feel fine lah,” JM reassures, saying that if this symptom persist, he will go check it out. “It was just a split second in time lah,” says JM, “Probably smelt my own shit and felt like puking.”

“…”

How do you respond to such a statement?!

My hearts goes out to Ryan. I hope it just a glitch. Like the hairline crack Roby had on his neck when he stupidly crash his (not his, but his mom’s) Altis.

Going Red

In the midst of my chaotic morning-noon deadline day…my phone rings, “Hello?” I answered the call, it was NJW. He insist he is Kevin. But it sounded more like NJW.

On the other line, NJW greets, “Mengggggg…eh I’m going to London for about 4 days in April…,” he pauses.

He had just told me that a day ago, fucker. Rub it in some more, “You call me to tell me that?”

NJW snaps out of his pause, “And then Manchester!!!!”

Dammit. You lucky bastard, “WHAAA?? Damn you NJW…ya better go visit Old Trafford man,” I said. Knowing he is somewhat a Man Utd fan also. But not die-hard fans like me or Jelly-man.

Then there was silence…my mind was half envious of him while the other half is having a meltdown due to the deadlines.

“So how are you lah?” NJW breaking the silence.

I told him I’m busy and there are loads to do and so little time, “You call me just to tell me you’re going to Manchester, didn’t you?”

“Yeah.”

“Fucker.”

Damn. Now I have 2 friends (well, almost 2, since NJW is going soon) who has been to the HQ of my favourite football club. Even Sim’s mom has been there! What the hell man.

Anyone up for sponsoring me? Just subsidize the air ticket for me can already. Ian can pay for himself, heh. Right?

Fast Fast One

The thing about deadlines in this company is that just before the deadline, there’s this space in time called the ‘in-between’. When frantic ohmygawd-i-need-more-time is on one side while crunch time is on the other end, so…

I got some in-between calm before the storm time to fill up this blog with some quickies.

I’ve been seeing lots of this icon lately. Mainly in shopping malls. I can’t help but think of this post every time I see it. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because of her bizarre office attic back then.

So did that help her obtain a queen-like posture? I dunno. Did you, ja? Your pictures say otherwise, heh.

‘Heroes’ is going on a little break. Till the end of the month (Episode 19 was due on Monday), I sure hope they haven’t lost the plot. Come on Peter!

I read on the papers that the Prison Break actor is sentenced to 6 years in … guess where, Yeah, prison for manslaughter. Akibat DUI lah. Oh the irony…

I don’t really know why I post this pic…not too bad huh? :P I CAN draw you know. And as you can see. Elaine surely has trust issues. Heh.

OK, more photos! Courtesy from mua. Using a Nikon D70. And no, I don’t own one. Wish I did, but the grass on my side is always dead. So I’m still stuck with my S7. Hmmph…

Triple Whammy

Computer fuck ups are a frequent affair in this office. I bet if you surf thru my pass entries, there are more than a few occasions the PCs just fuck up for no reason. How come? Because we’re running on Windows, that’s why.

But I’m not here to bitch about Windows’ reliability or lack there of. I just wanna write nonsense. So bear with me =)

For about a week now, I’ve been plagued with what I’ll call a triple whammy. Cough, running nose and the wisdom tooth. I can’t talk, breathe and eat properly. So you can imagine what I’m going thru. Coupled with the D1 and D2 issues. Sigh. Ain’t life so abso-fucking-lutely wonderful?

-tries to think happy-

God, I’ve turned into such a cynic. Seriously. Need. To. Change. Topic. Now.

Well, at least there was ONE good thing…ok TWO…1 being the weekend’s last gasp winner John O’Shea netted to dump Liverpool out of the title race, proper and stretching their lead on top. And Lost (Season 3, episode 10), the TV show, had a really good episode. Which made me watch it 3 times. It still cracks me up.

-realized my state of depression-

OK. Need to go look for my life now. Ta.

The IN Thing

Referring to my random statement on me chatbox, I realized the iPhone being called an iPhone doesn’t really quite make sense.

“A widescreen iPod, a mobile phone and an internet communication’s device, a widescreen iPod, a mobile phone and an internet communicator…are you getting it?”

That was what Mr. Jobs said in his keynote speech when he unveiled the product. Yes we get it. It’s not 3 separate devices. So if it’s iPhone, what happens to the iPod and the commuinicator features? Aiyo, so bias.

They should have called it; iThing.
Would have spared them the month-long lawsuit for using a trademarked named.

Aww come on. It does have a nice ring to it. No?

“What’s that thing?!”
“Ah, this thing is my new iThing!”
“What thing is that?”
“This thing can pray mucic, can pray in-te-net and can kol pee per!”

“Wah, I wan this thing also…”

iThing. Not just another thing from Apple.
