When you have been to Langkawi and drank copious amount of beer. You would think that your tolerance has gone up after downing at least almost one crate to yourself and still have the ability to drive safely, chit chat normally and think straight.
After that you come back to Penang and go on a week-long beer-free stint. Then one day, you decide to break the spell. And go on a drinking rampage, assuming that since your tolerance has gone up, why not over-indulge a little.
Subsequently, you hit a spliff, given that the beer seemed to have no effect on you. When the night ends, you go back and call it a night. Wash off and off to dreamland…
After that, with your eyes shut tight…the blardy kick hits you. It hits you so hard you’d be thinking why my purple flock of sheep is flying off hysterically and the world starts spinning out of a sudden. You hold on to whatever that left of your composure, staying focused. Then you decide to move your body to another position for optimum comfort. Then disaster strikes. Body movement coupled with a tripped out mind is catastrophic. Focus is lost, your mind wanders off feverishly and your body can’t take in all these random signals from your tripped mind. That means a lot of relentless late night or early morning scuttles to the toilet bowl barfing out all the dinner you’ve had.
I keep forgetting that the beer in Langkawi is watered down. It’s far weaker than any other beer you find in Malaysia. Heck, my tolerance is still the same. Maybe a little better, I wouldn’t know since the night was over-killed.
Tomorrow is surely gonna be shitty. One of the worst ever hangovers is looming. Seeing that it’s already 2.30am and my head is still spinning.
But when it was 7.40am. My eyes opened up, and suddenly my head sings that Toyota song…
“I woke up this morning, it's a beautiful day…eh eh…”
Man! This is awesome, man. No hangover!
