Hey

For weeks,
I've been on empty.
Numb. Lifeless. Jaded.

Then she came in and walked over to the back. And when eye-contact was made.

"Hey..." she whispers into the air. Her face painted with a tiny sweet smile. Her eyes sparkles.

"Hey," I replied. Stuck onto the ground under her spell as a surge of emotions came rushing in. It was immense. I could not make out what was it. But I was sure as hell I felt something. It lifted me.

But we just stood there, few feet apart. Just staring at each other. Taking mental photographs. Not knowing what else to say. I just don't know what to say.


I'm such a fool.
