Our futsal court booking was (for some reason) pushed back an hour later than what was originally intended (from 11pm to 12am). Anyway, we finally manage to get some football action going on at the stroke of midnight…..on a weekday when everyone’s suppose to be asleep already by that time. But it was worth it (in some ways) as all the good old football vibes starting rushing back in, just like old times…..just like old times….
The only down side was, none of us could last longer than expected (even though it was only an hour). 20 minutes into the game, all of us were struggling to catch our breath, where as I was out already when the game was only 10 seconds old…ack! It was fun though, good to know the good old skills are still there (maybe a little bit rusty) and I can still shoot with my left foot, so its all good…just don’t posses the stamina to go with it, sigh.
The game took a strange turn mid-way through; when the girls that came along with us suddenly decided they want some ‘action’ as well….*right*…hmmm, I pass the ball and they thought I was shooting at them, ack! Chill chill….you were the ones that want some action, and it was only a pass! You had like 20 seconds to re-act to that…even if u can’t; it’ll only (in the worst possible scenario) leave a small stain on your sneakers. Oh well, it was more like a ‘half-time’ for us when they came in…*phew* time to catch our breath.
Personally, the highlight of the night was when James did some spectacular-acrobatic-volley-over-his-head sort of thing, missed the ball completely and fell straight to the ground. The earth started to shake a little (he’s kinda big, in fact…he’s big…muscular big). There were no casualties. To sum it all up, it was more like a one-man-show for the infamous Captain Gan, famous for his solo-one-man-show take on the game (indoor or outdoor, he does the same thing) and also the occasional negotiating skills (the court was RM120 per hour, but he manage to discount it to RM100, respect!).
Note: They should play Brazilian-samba music rather than Chinese Fengtao in the Futsall Hall.
